The Official Rainmakers Website

Rainmakers Fans Yahoogroup       the Rainmakers Jukebox

About a year ago (summer of 2003) I was so into making webpages that I was looking for any excuse to make one. I wanted to make a page for my FAVORITE band, the Rainmakers, but there were so many nice ones already out that I didn't think I had much to offer. Well, tonight I went looking for a site that would have lyrics to The One That Got Away so I wouldn't have to type them out myself and couldn't find a one!

So here is my fledgling Rainmakers webpage. It will have whatever I can come up with. Right now that will be chords to two songs I've hashed out. Guitar is not my primary thing, so feel free to email me corrections.

I got to hear Bob Walkenhorst live last week because I just happened to be listening to the Planet when Misti Mundae said his name. I called her up and said, "Did you just say Bob Walkenhorst?"
She replied, "I did."
I said, "WHY did you just say Bob Walkenhorst?"
And she explained that he was going to be playing at their birthday bash along with a couple other bands. Woo hoo!

Needless to say Bob and Jeff Porter were awesome at the Beaumont Club. When I saw them looking at their watches, I knew it was almost time for them to go and I was so disappointed. They finished up and I said to my friend, Kim, "You know, they could play another couple hours and I wouldn't mind!" She agreed.

Then some other fans came over to us and said, "How come we never see you at Molloy's?"
Where? What? WHEN???
My husband, Jamie, and I got to see them for a while over there, too. It was The Greatest Night Of My Life. (Sorry about that! And, well, a bit of an exaggeration, even I'd have to admit.)

So, word is Bob plays every Wednesday over at Molloy's in Westport. GO HEAR THEM! :) You'll be glad you did!

By the way, my name is Melissa. Thanks for stopping by.
